CLAIM GUIDELINES
What you need to do before lodging a claim?
Please refer firstly to the User Manual to ensure the correct installation and operation procedures have been followed. In particular, refer to the trouble shooting guide supplied with the product manual before contacting CHiQ for assistance.
How To Log a Claim?
1. To make a claim under warranty, contact CHiQ on customer assistance line 1300 796 688.
2. Please get model number and serial number ready. CHiQ will require purchase documents to process a claim.
3. CHiQ Australia will provide consumer with a reference number. If a valid claim is made under warranty, CHiQ will:
Step1 - Repair or inspect the product.
Step2 - If it is a major fault or product can’t be repaired, CHiQ will replace the product or supply an equivalent product.
Step3 - If an equivalent product isn’t available, CHiQ will contact retailer to offer a store credit.
4. If CHiQ provides the consumer with either a replacement or equivalent product or payment, the consumer immediately transfers ownership in the original product to CHiQ.
5. The commencement of the warranty will be the date that the consumer takes possession of the original product. The warranty date will not be affected by any warranty repairs and/or exchanges. CHiQ will provide at least 12 months warranty on a replacement product if original warranty period is less than 12 months.
This Warranty Does Not Apply If The Product:
a) Ceases to carry the original manufacturer's serial number, is sold at auction, or is sold as second-hand.
b) Is repaired, serviced, or interfered with in any way by anyone other than CHiQ or its authorized service center?
c) Is damaged due to the following reasons:
- Improper installation
- Misuse, neglect, accidental damage or modifications
- Normal wear and tear
- Failure to properly clean the product or any part
- Failure to properly maintain and service the unit
- Infestation such as insects or vermin
- Incorrect operation
- Power surges, electrical storm damage or incorrect power supply
- Excessive use
- Incorrect voltage
- Natural disaster and/or act of god
d) Is used or sold outside Australia?
Notes:
Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and for compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure. The benefits given by this warranty are in addition to other rights and remedies which you may have under a law in relation to the goods or services to which this warranty relates.
